Players from across the Tri-W area have come together once again to form a team that has been, so far, unbeatable. The Weddington 18U Babe Ruth baseball program has put away each team that they have faced so far to begin their season 4-0.

The team, made up of players from across Union and Mecklenburg counties bears the Weddington name, but is made up of teammates who have often found themselves as rivals.

Despite diverse scholastic backgrounds, the chemistry of this team seems to be a deciding factor in their ability to outperform the competition.

Head coach Kevin Leonard said that he has high hopes for the team this year and that he has been impressed with their performance so far. The team, he said, has won championships before and he expects them to return this year.
